Ham and pineapple salad

Bursting with colors, this layered salad is perfect for feasts. The dish looks gorgeous thanks to its bright layers. It will amaze you with a refreshing combination of sweet and savory. The exotic mix of ham, pineapple, sweet corn, and tomatoes, gives this salad a one of a kind taste. Plus, this easy-to-make salad doesn’t take much time. You’ll only need to cut meat with tomatoes and add the ingredients in layers. You should try to cook, this ham and vegetable salad will look amazing on your holiday table.

  • 400 g (14 oz) ham
  • 1 tin of sweet corn
  • 350 g (12 oz) tomatoes
  • 1 tin of pineapples chunks
  • mayonnaise – to your taste
  • fresh dill (for decoration)


Let’s start cooking this holiday salad. Cut the ham into thin slices. If you don’t have ham, you can use a smoked chicken breast instead. Open the tins with pineapple pieces and sweet corn and pour out the juice. Chop the pineapple. Rinse tomatoes and cut them into strips.

To put together the salad, we’ll need a baking ring (20 cm in diameter). Cover the ring with a plastic food wrap. Put the ring above the serving plate.

Our first layer will be ham. Put the meat evenly and grease it with mayonnaise. Next comes a layer of canned pineapple. Then put the sweet corn above and smooth it with a spoon. Grease the corn with mayonnaise. Top everything with the tomato slices and remove the baking ring. Decorate the salad with dill twigs in the form of a ring. Let our ham salad stand for half an hour and then you can serve it.
