Puff Pastry Sausage Rolls

Tender sausages rolled in puff pastry and topped with poppy seeds. These rolls are incredibly tasty yet very easy to cook. This starter can manage to cook even your children.

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 12 sausages
  • mustard (for serving)
  • 2 packages of puff pastry
  • poppy seeds (for topping)


Preheat an oven to 210°C (410°F). Roll 1 package of puff pastry in the form of a rectangular. Cut the rectangular in half lengthways. Then cut the smaller rectangles into strips of equal length.

Cut sausages into medium pieces. Whip eggs with salt. Roll each piece of sausage in the puff pastry stripe. Brush the rolls with the whipped eggs.

Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the prepared rolls there. Top them with poppy seeds and bake until golden.

Serve the appetizer with mustard.
