Apple jam

This apple jam is very delicious. The most wonderful thing about it is that you can use it in the winter. You can stuff rolls, pies or patties – whatever you want. This jam can be served with cookies as well. You can keep this apple jam in some cool place for long time.


  • 500 g (1,1 lb) sand sugar
  • 1 kg (2.2 lb) apples
  • 150 ml water


Wash, peel, and cut the apples in half. Remove the seeds. Chop the fruits and transfer them to a pan. Pour water above and cover the lid. Boil the apples over low heat, stirring continuously. If there isn’t enough water in the pan, you may add. In 30 minutes remove the fire and cool the jam. Place the mass in a blender and whip it. Then pour the jam in the pan again, add sand sugar, and cook the mass for 10-30 minutes (the cooking time depends on the desirable jam consistency). Pour the hot jam in jars and cork them up. Cover the jars with a warm blanket and leave them till they cool.
