Girolle Appetizer

The apple and bulb onion combination is a great way to add more zest and flavor to mushrooms. So, don’t hold back to cook this irresistible girolle appetizer.


  • 1 apple
  • 1 bulb onion
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 300 g (10,5 oz) marinated girolles
  • some parsley twigs (for decoration)
  • black ground pepper – to taste
  • salt – to taste


Wash and slice marinated girolles thinly. Peel a bulb onion and cut it into semi-circles. Wash, peel, and grate an apple coarsely. Combine all the ingredients together. Place them in a bowl. Adjust salt and black ground pepper to your taste. Dress the salad with vegetable oil. Top the salad with some onion rings and parsley twigs.
