If you like the unusual combination of tastes, then you should try this recipe for oven baked pork chops with pineapple. The taste of the meat is unique since the dish combines sweet with salty. - 6-8 potatoes
- 6-8 pineapple rings
- 2-3 tbsp sour cream
- 200 g (7 oz) hard cheese
- 500 g (17,5 oz) pork fillet
- 1/2 bunch of lettuce leaves
- vegetable oil (for baking)
- ground black pepper – to taste
- marjoram – to taste
- rosemary – to taste
- salt – to taste
Cut the pork fillet into medium pieces (2-3 cm thickness). We’ll need 6-8 pieces of meat. Beat the pork slices with a kitchen mallet. Rub the meat chops with salt and black pepper.
Cover your baking tray with foil and grease it with vegetable oil. Arrange the pork there. Grease each chop with sour cream.
Drain the liquid from can with pineapples. Chop pineapple rings and put the pineapple above the pork.
Grate the hard cheese coarsely and top the chops with it.
Wash potatoes carefully and cut them into wedges. Arrange them close to the pork in the baking tray. Sprinkle the potato with vegetable oil and season with marjoram, rosemary, and ground black pepper.
Cover the ingredients with foil and bake the pineapple pork roast for about an hour. The meat under pineapples will become very soft and juicy while melty cheese will form a crunchy, golden crust.
Serve the sweet and sour pork chops hot together with lettuce leaves.
