Potato cream soup with bacon

Potato cream soup with bacon is light, nourishing, and packed with flavours. It is an ideal dish for those who take care about the health of their family members. Enjoy the delicious combination of cream, cheese, and bacon.


  • 50 g (0,11 lb) bacon
  • 1,5 l (liter) milk
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 330 ml sour cream
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1,5 kg (3,31 lb) potato
  • 150 g (0,33 lb) cheese
  • 1/4 tbsp black pepper
  • spring onion – to taste


Peel and wash potatoes. Place the potatoes in a pan, cover with water, bring it to boil, salt and cook the potatoes. Set aside 1 potato. Mash the remaining potatoes. Pour milk and put flour in a separate pan. Cook the mass for 10 minutes, after add salt and pepper. Stir. Add the mashed potato to the pan. Boil the ingredients for a while. Grate cheese and add it (leave some cheese for serving). Mix and cook till the cheese melts. Then pour sour cream. Stir again.

Pour the dish in a soup bowl. Add sliced potato and chopped bacon. Serve the soup hot with grated cheese and finely cut spring onion on top.
