Zhuravlynyk is the ancient Ukrainian cranberry dessert. The cranberry value lays in the numerous nutritional qualities. Before everything else the cranberry is the active antioxidant. It protects the cells from the injurious effect of free radicals. Cranberry is rich in kalium and vitamin C. The use of cranberry on a regular basis can protect you from the cold-related diseases.
- 1 glass of cranberry
- 1 glass of sugar
- 4 tbsp semolina
- 3 1/2 glass of water
Wash cranberry and squeeze the juice. Place the marc in a pan. Pour it with water and boil for 10 minutes. Then filter the mixture, add sugar and semolina. Mix everything and bring to boil. Cook the ingredients till done. Then add some cranberry juice to the prepared mass. Mix and whip the mass till you get the homogenous mass.
Combine the rest of cranberry juice with sugar and pour the dish with the prepared syrup before serving.
