Try to cook marinated cabbage with carrot and beetroot. Such a bright, aromatic and crunchy appetizer will definitely like your guests and relatives.
Ingredients:
- 1 white cabbage
- 2 carrots
- 2 beetroots
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 chilly pepper
- 1 l (liter) water
- 5-8 cloves
- 5-8 allspice berries
- 5-8 black-eyed peas
- 2 bay leaves
- 200 g sugar
- 2 tbsp salt
- 200 g vinegar
- 150 g sunflower oil
Cooking
Make “petals” out of a head of white cabbage. You can cut 3-5 “petals” on one cabbage leaf. Peel raw carrots and beetroots. Cube the ingredients.
Let’s cook a marinade. Boil 1 liter of water. Add sugar, salt, vinegar, sunflower oil, bay leaves, allspice, garlic, cloves, black-eyed peas and cut chilly pepper. Mix everything thoroughly.
Place cut vegetables in layers in a 3-liter jar and pour them with a hot marinade. Cork up the jar hermetically and cool it. Leave the marinated cabbage for 24-hours under room temperature and then serve as an appetizer.
