Crisp-skinned Chicken in Cream and Nut Sauce

In addition, this sauce add a special flavor to our chicken. The ingredient combination of this sauce is very easy – walnuts, sour cream, and garlic. Such a sauce can be quickly and easily cooked. You simply chop nuts, peel cloves of garlic and with the ingredients with sour cream. As a result we get a piquant roasted chicken meat which you can serve with vegetables or some sid dish.


  • 1 chicken
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 250 ml sour cream
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • dairy butter (for greasing)
  • 500-700 g (1,1 lb – 1.5 lb) walnuts
  • black ground pepper – to taste
  • salt – to taste


Rinse chicken. Peel 3 cloves of garlic and squeeze them. Add salt and pepper. Mix the ingredients properly. Rub the chicken with the prepared mass. Sprinkle the meat with lemon juice. Place the chicken in a fridge for 6-12 hours.

Peel and chop walnuts finely. Combine them with sour cream. Peel the remaining cloves of garlic, squeeze them and add to the mass. Grease the chicken with the prepared sauce.

Take a baking tray greased with dairy butter and place the chicken there. Cover the meat with foil and bake for 40 minutes until golden and crisp.
