Pear kysil



  • 3 pears
  • 1 l (liter) of water
  • 100 g sugar
  • 3 tbsp potato starch
  • vanillin – to taste
  • cinnamon/ cloves – to taste
  • citric acid – to taste


Wash pears, peel them and then sprinkle the fruits with citric acid. Pour pear peel with water and boil it. Then add sugar, spices and slices of the pears. Cook the mixture but do not let the pears reboil. Add citric acid if the quantity is not sufficient.

Dissolve starch in cold water. Add it to the syrup. Bring the mixture to boil. Turn off the fire. Then top the dish with sugar and cool it.

Pour kissel in a dish. Serve cold milk, almond milk, cream or vanilla sauce in a separate dish.
