Chicken kholodets


  • 1 chicken
  • 1/2 bulb onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 20 g of gelatin
  • water (1.5 liter for 1 kg of chicken)
  • salt – to taste
  • black ground pepper – to taste
  • 1 bay leaf


Cut chicken into small pieces, put in a pan, pour with water and boil for 1.5-2 hours. Do not forget to scum from time to time. Peel, rinse a carrot and an onion. Cut the vegetables into large pieces. Add them to the pan. Put a baly leaf there. Adjust salt and pepper at the end of boiling.

Transfer the boiled vegetables and chicken to a plate. Dissolve gelatin in the broth and cool it. Take bowls, arrange the chicken, carrot and onion. Pour the prepared broth above. Put the chicken holodez in a fridge to let it thicken.

Tip! You can decorate the dish with parsley or dill.
