Baked rabbit in sour cream

How to cook rabbit


  • 550 g of rabbit
  • 15 g of sour cream
  • 30 g of dairy butter
  • 20 g of fat
  • 20 g of bulb onion
  • 2 tomatoes
  • lettuce leaves
  • salt – to taste


Wash rabbit and cut it into medium pieces. Simmer the meat with sour cream. Grease a baking tray with fat, put the rabbit and chopped onion there. Place the tray in an oven and bake the ingredients. Pout the rabbit with the melted fat and the emerged juice from time to time. Transfer the cooked meat to a bowl. Pour the emerged juice to a pan and boil it slightly. Filter the sauce and salt it if necessary.

Pour 1/3 of the prepared broth above the rabbit, cover the lid and keep it warm.

Wash tomatoes and lettuce leaves. Slice the tomatoes and tear the lettuce leaves. Place the ingredients on a serving plate, add the rabbit, pour the sauce above and treat your guests.
